Alexis Mark is a Copenhagen-based design studio helping ambitious organisations define and express their position through strategy, identity, and design. We work across culture, architecture, education, fashion, publishing, and design—with new ventures shaping their identity and established organisations evolving their ambitions or audience. We build identities and systems that articulate not just how an organisation looks, but how it thinks and where it's headed. Our approach is research-driven: we start by understanding an organisation's ambitions, culture, and context, using strategy to establish a clear foundation before translating it into form. Analysis becomes language, language becomes identity, identity becomes a coherent system. Our work spans brand strategy, visual identity, creative direction, campaigns, editorial and exhibition design, digital platforms, and spatial environments—always with the same attention to context, precision, and long-term coherence. We believe the strongest identities don't just create recognition; they create clarity and give organisations the confidence to move forward. Differentiation comes from the thinking behind the work.
Led by Marie Grønkær, Martin Bek, and Kristoffer Li, the studio stays senior-led on every commission, working closely with clients from strategy through delivery. Our work includes collaborations with Harvard, Yale, MIT Press, the Danish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, the National Museum of Denmark, Ganni, and Kyoto Art Center. Alongside client work, we develop independent projects through our platform Annual Reportt, and have received awards, lectured internationally, and been featured in leading design publications. We help organisations understand where they stand, define where they're going, and build the identities that connect the two.

Strategy
We define the ideas and positions that give a brand direction. Through research, analysis, positioning, narrative, and brand strategy, we identify what matters, where an organisation stands, and what it needs to communicate. We work from context rather than convention, creating a strategic foundation that can guide both identity and future growth.
Identity
We translate strategy into distinctive systems of expression. From visual and verbal identity to typography, art direction, image languages, and design systems, we create coherent frameworks that make an organisation recognisable, articulate, and culturally relevant. Identity is not treated as a surface, but as a structured expression of the organisation behind it.
Expression
We bring the identity into the world and build the points of contact through which it is experienced. Campaigns, digital platforms, editorial, exhibitions, publications, and spatial environments become opportunities to extend the central idea across different contexts and audiences. The result is not a collection of applications, but a connected visual world with consistency, flexibility, and room to evolve.
Jobs
We constantly work with collaborators and freelancers, but at the moment we have no open jobs or internship positions and cannot guarantee replies for unsolicited applications. Thank you for understanding. We request that any inquiries and applications regarding jobs or internships are directed to jobs@alexismark.com
